Spring Come on Down

Normally we don't get snow where we live, so it has been quite odd to drive around and see it for the last two days. It is lovely but, I am so looking forward to the weekend - 75 degrees!! More my kind of weather. I am hoping my sinus crud will be on the way out. It is time to start planning all of the things I would love to accomplish in the yard, studio, etc. For tonight, I will try and accomplish a nice to do list. Here is a photo from the old blog. I've met some new blog friends - who never saw my typepad blog. This is my favorite photo of hummer or hummingbird friend. I can't wait to see them again - I must put some hummingbird food on my list. Oh maybe I can learn to make it since I am trying very hard to be more frugal.

The pink flower from the other post is - sedum - it is from the Martha Stewart Collection at Kmart. It was one of the first plants I got when we moved in almost 8 years ago. I broke a piece off (by accident) that had some roots. Well I put it in water and let the roots get longer and planted it in the side year.
Happy Hump Day. Hugs. A

Snow Day

Welcome to March. Not exactly what I was expecting or wanted. Bella and I have round 2 of the crud so snow and I just aren't a happy mix. Bella did get to go out and play for a bit once it warmed up. Oh. Have I mentioned we were without power all night and half of the day. Lucky for us our house stays pretty warm and we have lots of blankets. I can say without a doubt, I would not make a good camper. I miss my hairdryer to quickly. Unless, camping is ocean front and a picnic basket. That is more my style.

Here is the only trip I made out.

There would have been more but of course the camera battery was running low and you guessed it no way to charge it without power. The thought did cross my mind to charge it in the car but I found a disposable one and so we will have some photos later.

Have a great week. Goal this week - post everyday.

Happy Pink Saturday

Hope everyone has had a wonderful February. March almost already. Wow! The weather is rainy this weekend and so I have been thinking of Spring. Here is what I am looking forward to in the side beds that Los built. I am thinking of more flowers this year and maybe some easy to grow veggies. Got to love the sun, because we don't have any shade.

Have a great weekend.

Happy Saturday!

I have got to the point where I love the weekend. But, should we really rush the week so the weekend gets here faster? This weekend is a nice long one for the artchics - Friday was a school holiday. No rushing to get ready. No car lines. No homework. Just hanging in our jammies all day watching tv and playing on the computer. There was the quick shopping trip to Rite Aid where I racked up on the deals... everything I bought I had a coupon for, plus there was a $5 printable coupon and a $5 online rebate! My total shopping trip will end up being $11 for 14 items. Yeah!! I bought 3 large boxes of kleenex, 3 boxes of ziploc bags, 4 deodorants, shampoo & conditioner and 2 Hershey's candy bars. I forgot to snap a picture of it all. Love coupons.

This weekend, I am working on some of these baby socks for etsy. They will be available on Sunday. You can pick the size and the color you wish to order. I have been making them since my little artchic was born. Wow! Where does time go?

Happy Weekend.

Wonderful Wednesday

Typepad is finally a part of history. I did download all the posts just in case I start to feel like I miss it. I want to share a photo of Zuzu the other day. It was a very nice day and I so look forward to spring.

I am thinking of a garden. I miss my flowers from our other house. I think this yard is so much bigger that I don't know where to start. I did find a cool seed starter plan and am wondering where I could put it to start from seed and save money. Any suggestions? Hugs.

Hello New Blog

Here we are where it all started. This week has been a busy one not getting much done. But busy none the less. I am getting excited about Easter. I have lots of ideas - finally going to get moving on them!

So here it is the day the tv should have ended but my trusty old black and white Emerson has gotten an extension on life. It was my first major purchase many years ago and I have loved watching my soap on it. I like to think the black and white was the elegant way of life.

This is one of the roses from the bouquet Bella and I got on Saturday.

I love roses. This year I hope to have my rose garden what it should be. When I was little I remember my grandfather had roses and always planted marigolds under them to keep the bugs away. I must try that this year. I don't like the smell of the marigolds when you pluck them. But the lovely roses are a nice trade.

Happy Pink Saturday and Cupid Day

Here is the first new post on the new blog! I will do both blogs for one week! I have enjoyed it but the other is free. I have a wonderful Be Mine Valentine Swap to share on this gloomy day. It came from my blog friend Jennifer.... She has the picts of what I sent her. Here is the one from her

I love it!!!! I can wait to use it all! I also received my little match boxes all decked out. I will show those this week, but had to share these that were in my box from Amy. (I don't think she has a blog yet!)

Off to get the day going! Have a wonderful one.
