Happy Pink Saturday!

Hello little neglected blog. I so hope to do better. Lots have been going on here at the artchics headquarters. We did our first 2 day festival last weekend. Here are the photos of our yummy booth and pretties we had.

We are in the South and it is still in the 90's... hello I need to work in garage studio and not melt. Lovely blog winner is patiently waiting her birdhouse, that it has been too hot to work on. Maybe next yeah I can get an ac. So what have you been up to?

Time flies

Ok. Where did the summer go? Wow. Bella started school today and so back to a little normalness and not wanting to lounge on the couch all day. We have had such hot weather here it has been a dilemma in the outside studio where I was working on the bird house for Donna. The premixed grout and I are not loving each other. It was a bear to get out and then when it dried, some of it cracked. So, I have decided to wait until cooler temps when I don't melt in there to try and work with it. I must remember to look for an air conditioner when they go on sale at the end of the season.

We took a trip down to the coast. It was delightful. Not as many shells as I had hoped, but did find a few. My swap package is finally on it's way to Tammy. Of course, I will wait until she gets it and takes some pictures for me to post since I forgot to snap them before packing it.

Working on the studio declutter. Wow that is a giant mess and undertaking. Also, working on some new scarfs and jewelry. Hoping the weekend will be cooler so I can fire up the kiln and amybe finish the birdhouse.

Hope everyone is having a wonderful week. We are having a heat advisory today, so we will be inside making art. I have tons to finish up and show. Busy day here in the artchics.

Holy Heat Wave!

Hope everyone had a wonderful holiday weekend. We are having higher than normal temps here in the South. The kind that make you want to stay in and sip iced tea, sit by the AC and think of all the things you should be doing but have no energy because of the heat.

So, on a what am I gone do with all this note… I have a ton of french paperbacks and french classic/other albums. Anyone interested? Got any ideas for good uses? I was hoping not to have to list each individual one since there are so many but I am thinking $1 paperback, $2 album plus shipping. I want to make some bowls out of a few and will be listing those in my etsy shop. I think it will be so hot outside this week, I could let mother nature do it for me and not have to even turn the oven or kiln on.

Sorry for the delay. Things were a bit out of whack lately. Bella finished up 6th grade. Both stray puppies found wonderful new homes. My birthday month ended. June started and was not looking very positive. My friend's little boy's cancer has returned (treatment is working) and my 91 year old Grandmother passed away.

Happier  thoughts my friend completed her first marathon this past weekend. Way to go Brigette. I made her a mini banner but of course forgot to get a picture. I will have more mini banners in my etsy shop this week. I am trying to decide if I want to complete them or have them as kits. Any ideas?

Happy Memorial Day!

Thank you to all the men and women who serve and have served to protect our country.

I had hoped we could have a nice bbq picnic outside and play some lawn games, but the weather is not cooperating. So it looks like we will have to have a plan b. Maybe hubby can still grill, we can eat on porch and play a board game inside.

Birthday month is finally coming to a close. I had a great one know 11 months to go and we can do it again. Make sure you leave a comment before June 3 to be entered in my drawing.

Finally, my actual Birthday in my month long Birthday Celebration!! Hope everyone is had a wonderful May. Mother's Day, school wrapping up, warm weather, pools and last night thunderstorms. Storms I can do with out, but the rest are pretty great. Our foster puppy, Cooper joined his new family on Friday! So happy for them. Minnie will have a wonderful new home next Saturday. They have come along way and I am very proud of them!
