Happy Spring

The weather this weekend was wonderful. Today we continued with some warm loveliness. I am hoping tomorrow will be as great. Bella and I have started our outdoor spring cleaning. Weeds, leaves and such. We are thinking of an herb garden in some containers. I have heard herbs tend to spread. Now it is just figuring out what we want to grow. Maybe things we can put in soap. So what are you going to grow this summer? We will wait one more weekend before going plant shopping just in case we have a cold spell ago.

New birds will be listed in our etsy store tomorrow.

What a wonderful way to end my week and start my weekend. First my eggs finally arrived to Vivian! I was so starting to wonder what love mailman was enjoying them. :-)

And next, I won!!!! Yeah!!! Patti had a give - away and I was the lucky winner! Guess that four leaf clover came in handy. Wonder if I should play the lottery tomorrow.

Bella has another piano festival in the morning so it will be an early day for us. Maybe a little breakfast before and then search for treasures in the afternoon. Have a wonderful weekend.

Today, I went in search of my little pot of gold. There it was, one tiny four leaf clover. The ground was very wet from the much needed rain and the clovers have just started to come up. We don't really have big plans tonight. My -ish hubbie will probably enjoy one of his home brews.... hum wonder if I can sneak some food coloring in one before he gets home. :-) What are your plans for this green evening?

That was a long title. This week I want to share my swap from Christy. It was for the cupcake swap on swap-bot. Bella and I can't wait to make some cupcakes and take them in the too cute lunch box.


The weather here has taken a drastic cold change, but the good thing is we have a long weekend. Yeah, no school. I am still trying to find sweets for the swap. It seems all the cupcakie things are gone. Hum.....

Thankful Tuesday

So many times we get very busy with life and overlook things we start to take for granted. This year has thrown some curve balls and made me stop and think about what I truly find important. So I have decided to pick 5 most thankful things for today...
1. I am thankful for a healthy and wonderful child and a great family!
2. I am thankful for Aden doing so well after his surgery! Way to go little man!!! Please visit the site to find out more about Aden and his great parents!
3. I am thankful for the beautiful weather
4. I am thankful for a positive outlook something good is going to start happening.
5. I am thankful the birds sing outside my office.

Spring Come on Down

Normally we don't get snow where we live, so it has been quite odd to drive around and see it for the last two days. It is lovely but, I am so looking forward to the weekend - 75 degrees!! More my kind of weather. I am hoping my sinus crud will be on the way out. It is time to start planning all of the things I would love to accomplish in the yard, studio, etc. For tonight, I will try and accomplish a nice to do list. Here is a photo from the old blog. I've met some new blog friends - who never saw my typepad blog. This is my favorite photo of hummer or hummingbird friend. I can't wait to see them again - I must put some hummingbird food on my list. Oh maybe I can learn to make it since I am trying very hard to be more frugal.



The pink flower from the other post is - sedum - it is from the Martha Stewart Collection at Kmart. It was one of the first plants I got when we moved in almost 8 years ago. I broke a piece off (by accident) that had some roots. Well I put it in water and let the roots get longer and planted it in the side year.

Snow Day

Welcome to March. Not exactly what I was expecting or wanted. Bella and I have round 2 of the crud so snow and I just aren't a happy mix. Bella did get to go out and play for a bit once it warmed up. Oh. Have I mentioned we were without power all night and half of the day. Lucky for us our house stays pretty warm and we have lots of blankets. I can say without a doubt, I would not make a good camper. I miss my hairdryer to quickly. Unless, camping is ocean front and a picnic basket. That is more my style.

There would have been more but of course the camera battery was running low and you guessed it no way to charge it without power. The thought did cross my mind to charge it in the car but I found a disposable one and so we will have some photos later.
